Prisoner Escapes from Colorado Prison Convicted for Attempted MurderIn Northeast Colorado Law officers are in search of an escaped inmate who is convicted with attempted murder. The inmate is a 48-year-old named Douglas J. Alward, described as described as white with a shaved head, weighing 152 pounds, and 6-foot-1. Douglas escaped from the Sterling Correctional Facility in Northeast Colorado; the place is located 100 miles northeast of Denver.

The escaped inmate Douglas J. Alward was sentenced serving a 20- to- 40-year for convictions of attempted murder, assault, burglary and kidnapping. Katherine Sanguinetti the spokeswoman of the Police Department verbalized that Douglas J. Alward was last seen shortly after 9 p.m. and didn’t appear for a routine roll-call an hour later in the evening. People near the area are warned if they see a person who fits the description to report to the nearest Authority, Douglas J. Alward should be considered dangerous.
