Sumatra Volcano Erupts After 400 Years, As Thousands Of People Flee Their Homes
A Volcano in Sumatra erupted for the first time in over 400 years which prompted about 10,000 Indonesians to evacuate their homes.
The Sumatra volcano was sending smoke and dust 1500 meter into the air and spewing out lava last Sunday. The volcano has been rumbling for several days as villagers panicked and eventually evacuated the area. It was around midnight when the volcano started to erupt.
The volcano’s eruption have already caused the death of two person due to breathing problem and heart attack respectively and another two who were injured because of road mishaps.
